Friends of St Joseph’s

The Friend’s of St. Joseph’s is the official name of the Parent Support Group.

The Friend’s were set up in 2005 and it’s purpose is quite straightforward. The group works to raise funds which are then used for the benefit of the children who attend our school.

We are a small group of parents, governors and teachers who meet on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7pm in school, and are always keen to welcome new members, so please feel free to join us.

We support many events throughout the year by organizing refreshments or selling raffle tickets at productions, concerts, prize evenings and induction nights, but if needed we can accompany pupils with staff on trips.

Suggestions on how to use the money raised come through the Head boys and girls or by a wish list from the staff.

We have previously paid for transport for pupils to attend music residential in Lancaster, transport for pupils to take part in a charity walk in Carlisle, soft furnishings for St. Joseph’s room, staging and blackout curtains for productions and more recently providing the P.E  Department with i Pads, these are all things we have been asked for.

Each month we hold our 100 club draw costing £12 per year with the winner receiving £30, it is so easy to join please ask at school for a form, and the winners will be published on the website.
