KS4 Years 9 – 11

All students will follow GCSE courses in the core subjects of Maths, English, Science and RE, in very carefully ‘setted’ teaching groups with some more able students also studying French or Spanish, and Geography or History.  There is then a full range of subjects from which all students can choose from which most will study 3 GCSE subjects.  Some students will also be able to study a more vocational course out of school once a week, leading to a certified qualification.    This is arranged by our invitiation only, and is subject to an application being made through school.  In addition, these students will study for other qualifications in school, including a vocational qualification CoPE (Certificate of Personal Effectiveness), and all of this means that these students will only follow 1 additional GCSE subejct in school.

Most children will follow 9 GCSE courses.
